My Healing Path

Sometimes the path that changes your life is the one you never expected to walk.

The Story Behind The MindBody Standard™

The MindBody Standard™ wasn't born from a business plan. It was born from decades of caring for people, years of advanced education, and a deeply personal journey that forever changed the way I understand healing.

Throughout my career, I had the privilege of walking alongside people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Again and again, I saw that behind every diagnosis, every symptom, and every struggle was a human being with a unique story. Those experiences planted a question that continued to grow: What if lasting healing requires caring for the whole person—not just the symptoms?

That question eventually became The MindBody Standard™—a Whole-Person Health Model built on a simple belief: when the mind and body heal together, transformation becomes possible.

My Healing Journey

Sometimes the path that changes your life is the one you never expected to walk.

For many years, I dedicated my life to caring for others. My career in healthcare taught me the importance of compassion, listening, and treating every person as more than a diagnosis. Later, my work in business and leadership taught me how resilience, purpose, and human connection shape every area of our lives.

Yet, despite everything I had learned professionally, life had another lesson waiting for me.

Shortly before Christmas in 2022, I was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer that was considered inoperable. In an instant, I went from being someone who helped others navigate difficult seasons to becoming the patient.

That experience changed everything.

After many conversations, research, and prayer, I made the deeply personal decision to decline radiation and chemotherapy and pursue an integrative approach focused on supporting my body's natural healing capacity. It was not an easy decision, and it was one I made thoughtfully, knowing it carried uncertainty.

That journey challenged every part of me.

It required me to look beyond physical symptoms and ask deeper questions about stress, nutrition, inflammation, emotional health, trauma, relationships, purpose, and the remarkable ability of the human body to heal when given the right support.

Along the way, I discovered something that would eventually become the foundation of everything I do today.

Healing isn't just physical.

Our experiences shape us. Stress leaves fingerprints on the body. Trauma can linger long after life appears to have moved forward. Lasting healing often begins when the mind and body finally feel safe enough to work together again.

Today, I am grateful to say that there is no sign of cancer in my body.

While my journey is uniquely my own, it deepened my belief that every person's path to healing is different. There is no one-size-fits-all answer, and no single profession has every answer.

That realization became The MindBody Standard™.

It is my commitment to helping people understand their own unique story, care for their whole health, and become active partners in their healing—not simply by managing symptoms, but by addressing the physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors that influence well-being.

I don't believe healing means becoming someone different.

I believe healing is about returning to the person you were always created to be.

And it would be an honor to walk beside you on that journey.

What I've Learned

Healing has taught me that people are far more resilient than they believe. I've also learned that symptoms are often only part of the story. Behind chronic stress, burnout, illness, anxiety, grief, or life transitions is a human being doing the very best they can with the experiences they've lived.

I've learned that healing isn't about becoming someone new. It's about removing what has been weighing you down so the person you've always been can begin to emerge.

I've learned that people don't need someone to rescue them. They need someone willing to truly listen, ask thoughtful questions, and walk beside them as they discover their own strength.

I've learned that education creates confidence. When people understand what is happening in their bodies and minds, they become active participants in their own healing instead of feeling powerless.

Most of all, I've learned that lasting transformation happens when we care for the whole person. The mind and body are never truly separate, and healing one almost always requires caring for the other.

That belief became the foundation of The MindBody Standard™.

Experience & Credentials

Education and professional training have given me valuable knowledge, but the greatest lessons have come from walking alongside people through life's most challenging seasons.

My goal has never been to impress you with credentials. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, ask difficult questions, and share your story without fear of judgment. I believe healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and accepted exactly as they are.

The education, certifications, and experience below simply support the work we do together. They provide the foundation for my practice, but they are never a substitute for listening with compassion, remaining curious, and treating every person with dignity, respect, and hope.
